Victorious Festival has always been about celebrating everything that makes Portsmouth special – our people, our creativity, our history and our incredible waterfront home. That’s why we’re proud to support We Are Pompey 2029, the campaign leading Portsmouth’s bid to become UK City of Culture 2029.
The bid is an opportunity to showcase the city’s unique identity on a national stage, champion local talent, attract investment and create lasting opportunities for our communities. From arts and culture to music, heritage and grassroots organisations, the campaign aims to celebrate everything that makes Portsmouth such a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
As the UK’s biggest metropolitan festival, we’re passionate about playing our part in supporting the city that has been our home since day one. Every summer, Victorious brings together thousands of people to experience world-class music, comedy and family entertainment against the backdrop of Southsea Common, while championing local businesses, artists and community groups.
We believe Portsmouth has a story worth telling, and becoming UK City of Culture would help inspire future generations while shining a spotlight on the creativity, diversity and community spirit that make our city unique.
